How the Gum Graft Procedure Works

Drs. Lindsay and Christie may perform a gingival graft using the pedicle graft technique or use donor material to complete the grafting procedure. Each type of gum grafting surgery offers different benefits and our periodontists will determine which type is most appropriate for you based on your unique situation. The surgery can be completed in a single visit and the recovery time spans about a week. You may be instructed to take anti-inflammatory medication and eat very soft foods to promote the healing process.

Dr. Eastman incorporates the latest techniques in reconstructive periodontics, tissue engineering, dental implants placement and was among the first group of dentists in the U.S. trained in computer guided implant surgery.
