Advanced Periodontal Therapies and Services

Dr. Lindsay Eastman, Dr. Christie and their team perform a range of periodontal therapies and services that will restore the health of your gums after gum disease. Whether you are diagnosed with mild or advanced gum disease, we can treat the infection and restore the bone with a dental bone graft, sinus lift or a ridge augmentation procedure. Our doctors will create a custom treatment plan to eradicate the infection in the mouth and restore gum health.

Bone Graft

Turn to Dr. Christie and Dr. Lindsay Eastman for a dental bone graft if you have lost bone tissue after gum disease. Our periodontists perform bone grafting procedures using donor bone tissue for fast recovery. We may combine this with other tissue regeneration procedures for optimal results.

Ridge Augmentation / Preservation

If you have receding or deteriorating bone or gum tissue in a certain area, we may perform a ridge augmentation or preservation procedure to restore the jaw line and gum line. These procedures are typically performed under anesthesia and customized to rebuild the shape of the tissue to its natural state.

Sinus Lift/Augmentation

If you do not have enough bone available in the upper jaw for dental implants, you may need to undergo a sinus lift, or sinus augmentation procedure. This procedure lifting the sinus floor up to a more favorable position. This stimulates natural bone growth in the space.

Periodontal Maintenance

If you have been treated for gum disease and want to maintain results, we may recommend periodontal maintenance therapy as part of your treatment plan. Periodontal maintenance treatments may include deep cleaning services and frequent visits to monitor the health of your gums.

OralDNA®

We take advantage of services offered by OralDNA® labs for salivary diagnostic testing. These tests help us identify periodontal disease and oral HPV. They can also assess your response to certain types of medication.

Guided Tissue Regeneration

We can help the body regenerate lost bone tissue and decrease problems associated with gum disease using the guided tissue regeneration technique. This involves repairing damage caused by gum disease by using innovative techniques to place donor tissue around damaged areas and, in some cases, performing a dental bone graft.

Gingivectomy

We can restore your gums after gum disease with a gingivectomy. This involves reshaping loose gum tissue to reduce pocket depth between the teeth. If you have severe gum disease that has not responded to other treatments, this may be your best option for restoring the health of your gums.

Scaling and Root Planing

This is a nonsurgical periodontal treatment that can effectively treat the early stages of gum disease. It works by deep cleaning the teeth using special tools and polishing the teeth smooth so the gums can reattach to the surface of the tooth. It is typically performed under local anesthesia to reduce patient discomfort.

Dr. Eastman incorporates the latest techniques in reconstructive periodontics, tissue engineering, dental implants placement and was among the first group of dentists in the U.S. trained in computer guided implant surgery.
