Our goal is to make your visits as comfortable and stress-free as possible.

We offer dental anesthesia and other sedation dentistry options to minimize discomfort and help you feel more relaxed during and after your procedure. We are among the few offices in the State of Florida to have registered nurses available to monitor patients during treatment, administer sedation and assist with surgeries.

Dr. Lindsay Eastman and Dr. Christie also offer patients the option to be treated at the Manatee Surgical Center for outpatient procedures that are more complex and may require general anesthesia or other forms of sedation.

IV Sedation

Intravenous conscious sedation (IV sedation) can be a very effective way to induce a deep state of relaxation and help patients who have difficulty getting numb. If you experience extreme dental anxiety, you may be a good candidate for this form of sedation dentistry.

Nitrous Oxide

This is a frequently employed sedation technique that can help you feel euphoric and numb within minutes of inhaling the gas. It helps you feel very relaxed and this type of dental anesthesia is very easy for us to control. Once the gas is stopped, you will return to normal and can even drive yourself home.

Oral Sedation

If you have dental fear or have difficulty getting numb, oral sedation may be the best option for you. This involves taking anti-anxiety medication before your appointment so you feel very calm and relaxed throughout treatment. You will feel drowsy after your procedure so you will need someone to drive you home.

Local Anesthetic

We can selectively numb parts of the mouth with dental anesthesia injected into the area needing treatment. Local anesthetic will numb the area for a few hours and helps us perform a number of procedures with minimal discomfort to the patient.

Dr. Eastman incorporates the latest techniques in reconstructive periodontics, tissue engineering, dental implants placement and was among the first group of dentists in the U.S. trained in computer guided implant surgery.
