Your Comfort Is Our Priority

We do everything we can to make sure our patients enjoy a comfortable and stress-free visit. For your comfort, we offer dental anesthesia and sedation dentistry services in Sarasota, FL that can reduce dental fear and help you feel relaxed during and after your procedure. We are among the few dental practices in the State of Florida to have Registered Nurses on staff. Our RNs assist Dr. Lindsay Eastman and Dr. Christie by monitoring patients during treatment and administering various types of sedation dentistry and local anesthetic.

IV Sedation

Intravenous conscious sedation (IV sedation) can help patients achieve a deep state of relaxation while staying awake. This form of sedation dentistry can be especially effective for patients who have difficulty getting numb or high levels of dental anxiety.

Nitrous Oxide

Another option for patients with dental anxiety or fear is inhaling nitrous oxide gas. This gas can help you feel relaxed throughout treatment, and we control the level of sedation minute by minute. You will return to normal once the gas is stopped.

Oral Sedation

Some patients fare well by taking anti-anxiety medication before their appointment. This helps them feel very calm and relaxed throughout treatment. Most feel drowsy before, during, and after their visit, and will therefore require a companion to drive them to and from the appointment.

Local Anesthetic

We may use local dental anesthesia to numb certain parts of the mouth prior to the procedure. We administer anesthetic into the gum tissue, and the numbing effect occurs within a few minutes. Local anesthetic makes it easy for us to perform a variety of procedures while eliminating any discomfort.

Dr. Eastman incorporates the latest techniques in reconstructive periodontics, tissue engineering, dental implants placement and was among the first group of dentists in the U.S. trained in computer guided implant surgery.
