General Procedures for Better Oral Health

Dr. Lindsay Eastman serves patients with a wide range of general procedures and services. If you need to come in for dental cleanings, need a tooth extraction, or are having problems with your bite, we are here to address your oral health concerns. Dr. Eastman uses the latest techniques and modern dental technologies to perform a variety of procedures with a high success rate. We work hard to help our patients maintain a healthy and beautiful smile for years to come.

Oral Pathology Exam

We perform an oral cancer screening at least once a year to detect any bumps, lesions, or abnormalities within the mouth. This is a thorough examination of the tongue, soft tissues, and throat areas of the oral cavity.

Tooth Extraction

If you have a severely damaged or decayed tooth that cannot be saved, are suffering from the effects of overcrowding, or are receiving orthodontic treatment in the near future, you may require a tooth extraction. Dr. Eastman performs simple and surgical tooth extractions at our practice. In most cases, these extractions are performed under local anesthesia.

Full Mouth Regeneration

You may need to undergo a series of periodontal and cosmetic procedures to restore your smile after gum disease, an accident, or tooth loss. Dr. Eastman may recommend a smile makeover or full mouth regeneration procedures to rejuvenate the appearance and function of your smile. These procedures may include a tooth extraction, bone grafting, dental implants, and receding gums treatment, among other services.

Teeth Grinding/Bruxism

Patients who have a habit of grinding their teeth can suffer from the effects of a misaligned bite or cause damage to the tooth structure. To prevent the onset or progression of such destruction, Dr. Eastman provides treatment for bruxism (teeth grinding). This may involve fitting you with a nightguard to ward off teeth grinding while you sleep. In some cases, the habit can be broken by making some lifestyle changes.

Occlusal Adjustment

Dr. Eastman may need to perform a bite adjustment (occlusal adjustment) if you have a misaligned bite that is triggering jaw pain or other oral health problems. This can restore proper functioning of the smile and stop any pain and discomfort you may be experiencing.

Dr. Eastman incorporates the latest techniques in reconstructive periodontics, tissue engineering, dental implants placement and was among the first group of dentists in the U.S. trained in computer guided implant surgery.
